something wicked is coming your way!

Hi there,
my name is Kristine and I'm very happy to have my info standig on this site (which looks very very nice! nice work Soof!) because it means that I'm finally (really, finally) going to Wicked! *bounces*

Where to start? Let's see.. I met Sophie about 2 years ago (February 17th, 2006) on the net and not long after we met, we started rambling about chickens. Only I can't recall how that started exactly :/ Maybe Sophie does, dunno xD After all our online talking about chickens, we ended up having Chantal Janzen (red: Dutch Musical performer) signing our paper chicken, named Lumi and Babs. In their short lifes Lumi and Babs both drowned several times but were put together again.

Our fun about chicken turned into fun about frogs so Lumi got company from a frog-buddy, who is still nameless. When Sophie was having her finals, I stalked her with goodluck-card, evelish as I am (6) I'm very grateful to her, for many reasons.

One of them, and probably the most important one in relation to this site, is that I learned about Wicked through Sophie. When I was still able to download songs, I once downloaded 'For Good' but I'd never listened to it (I know, shame on me!). We both have a different opinion about the following but this is my version.

August 16th, 2006. Sophie, Linde, Nina and I were in Sophie's room and iTunes was playing. At a certain moment, it was playing 'Defying Gravity' and I loved it immediately! The power of the song, the lyrics.. just wow! When I was home again and Sophie and I were talking on MSN I asked from what musical that song was and she said 'Wicked'. Then I found 'For Good' on my computer and I started listening it over and over and over and over again. I asked Sophie for the rest of the songs and a little bit later, October 1st, when we were on our way to Scheveningen to see 'Beauty and the Beast', we sang 'Popular' together, while we were surrounded by all these other people xD It was fun =)

We started searching for clips and the more we found, the more we loved Wicked. And when we totally loved it, we decided we had to go and see it live. For some reasons we didn't go together in the first place but she went to see it with Monique. But now we're going all three =D My parents promised me I could go to London to visit a musical if I'd get a 10 (something like an A) for my acient Greek test (my average grade was a 4 *whistle*) and I did! No need to tell that we had (stolen) the answers of the test but my parents didn't know that and they still don't (a) So if they read this, I'm dead xD But that's why they're paying for this whole trip =)

Another reason why I'm grateful, is that I'd probably never met Monique if I hadn't met Sophie. Some time ago I wanted to buy Sophie a present but I had no idea what to buy so I wanted to asked someone for ideas. Someone who knows Sophie well. I'd heard all kinds of stories about Monique from Sophie so I thought she might knew what to buy. So I asked Sophie to ask Monique if I could add her on MSN and she was okay with it =) That was June 19th, 2007. My first conversation with Monique was also one of the funniest we ever had. She told me to get Sophie a banana holder or something like it from Tuppaware, because Sophie had loved that on Kerry (or something like that xD). And when I was actually buying something for Sophie, I also saw that banana holder thingie in the shop and it made me laugh so hard I almost bought it xD But I'm so happy that I know Monique, she's just wonderful. They both are =)

Some short things about me: I'm 16 (finally! I can fly completely on my own! No parents/guardians needed at the airport anymore!), I live nearby Utrecht and I attend to a Grammer School (which sucks -_-). When I'm grown up *ghehe* I wanna do something with (musical)theatre, be a ballerina, go to (Harvard) Law School, study psychology or set up my own business. Clearly, I'm not sure yet xD. Well, I think that's about it =)
